We were upgraded, The room was great for me as I have need a walker to move around. The room we were given was a room with a disable shower and chair. I really appreciated this. The view was incredible also, and we were able to take the early morning sunrise over the water. I would love to thank the lady my husband spoke to. He said she was very nice.

David at reception made me feel like a VIP! All the staff are just lovely. We had an amazing room, outdoor bath, and such a beautiful location.

The Loontitetermairrelehoiner Track is a wonderful walk around the coast from Waterloo Beach to Schouten Beach. The walk itself is not as long as the name suggests.
Very nice views of Great Oysters Bay, with backdrop of Freycinet Peninsula.
As usual in Tasmania, there is nearly no one to be seen on the main street of this town after about 7pm. It's refreshing.

From a tourist perspective Swansea was lacking.
From a tourist perspective Swansea was lacking. Not much choice of places to eat. The oyster bar was closed due to weather, we were unable to get to the patisserie as the bridge was closed due to flooding, the pub closed at 2 so cant have a late lunch which often happens as a tourist. the IGA was closed for some reason and there was a small express IGA that had your basic items. We had dinner at a small local cafe and it was very expensive for what it is $40 for a main. But we didn't have a choice as pub full and that was the only place in town open.

Beautiful stay, super cozy and best sleep I have had on the whole trip.
10/10 for charm & spa bath was amazing after all the walking done. Great pub 2second walk down the road, loved the experience
The location in the centre of Swansea township was great. We had an upstairs apartment with a lovely aspect across the Bay. The apartment was inviting, warm, clean and spacious. The bedroom was an excellent size and the bed very comfortable. Onsite parking was really appreciated. Coleen and Bob were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast provided over our 3 days was more than we needed. We found Freycinet Waters a great base from which to explore the region and would thoroughly recommend the property.
My wife and I stayed at the Swansea Motor Inn on our recent trip up from nipaluna (Hobart) to kanamaluka (Launceston). The Motor Inn is fantastically located on the foreshore with uninterrupted views of the bay. The room was clean with great amenities. The staff were super helpful etc. and it's located opposite the IGA for any grocery needs. No air-conditioning but there is a pedestal fan and with the screened window open we fell asleep to the sound of crashing waves and a gentle sea breeze.
Wow! We loved everything about this motel. The family who run the motel are fantastic, highly knowledgeable, friendly efficient. Love our check-in lass Jo, and her dad gave us a great tip to dine at the Lobster Shack in Bicheno. The views of the bay are beautiful, as are the gardens. A great self service laundry too. Walk around the whole town from this location.
Our stay was the latest of many . We have never been disappointed. Rooms are super comfy and warm and the breakfasts are as you would expect from this beautiful accommodating house. Each time in Tasmania we look forward to our stay in Swansea and in particular our stay at Meredith House. Well done Neal and Noel. See you next time. Greg and Carolyn
Everything — it is gorgeously curated and is aesthetically perfect to match the wild, rugged and quaint Tasmanian coastline. Each cottage/suite is unique, perfectly cozy and luxurious. A true 5 star gem. Homestead Restaurant is also fantastic. I’ve traveled extensively throughout Australia (and elsewhere), and this is my all-time favorite property.
Lovely quant historic cottage nestled in a peaceful location. Maureen, one of the hosts was so welcoming and informative. The fresh mulberry tree with ripe berries to share, offers of eggs and bacon all added to the charm. Why stay in a boring hotel/motel when you can enjoy a piece of Tasmania history. Would highly recommend.
The location was fantastic with private access to the beach which was only a 3 minute walk. The house itself had everything you needed plus a huge book and DVD library, lots of play things for the kids and an outdoor shower for after being at the beach which was a brilliant idea.
Lovely location near Swansea beach. It’s a relatively small campsite with all the facilities we needed. The cabins were cosy (on the smaller side) but beautifully renovated, extremely clean and well appointed with utensils and facilities, including air conditioning.
The cabin was situated on the cliff top and had a sea view. The place is quiet, clean and comfortable. All necessary amenities are u ok were provided. The bed was comfy and was greeted by the sunrise from our bedroom window . A short distance drive to Swansea town
walked out of our room onto green lawn then straight to beach. Great walking track that led to a dog park which was great as the hotel was pet friendly so we had our 2 small dogs with us. Staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful.
Very clean and comfortable cottages. Friendly staff. Free DVDs. Lovely location on the beach close to shops, cafeterias and restaurant. Quiet area, glimpses of water from our cottage porch.
A really wonderful place to stay. You need to inform the hotel upfront if you want to have dinner at the hotel. Choice of dinner locations in Swansea is very limited.
