Travelling to Queensland, but rainy weather caused us to stop overnight, booked on line and was not expecting much, but our room was very clean and the shared ensuite also spotless & bed comfortable, room quite small but we did take the cheapest option and were satisfied with our space.
The bonus was the kitchenette, we were able to take advantage of the fridge & the hot chocolate or tea & coffee in a generous area to eat our breakfast.
We will pop in again when passing.

It was clean. Absolutely shit room, with nothing but a bed, a chair, & a tiny hand basin in the room. Absolutely shit value for money & extremely overpriced.
I never want to use booking.com again.

It was a little sad around the hotel, a few people sleeping rough, we did not have anyone bother us, but a sight that saddens when you see people sleeping on the concrete late Autumn. it was chilly. There were delicious smells coming from the eateries around the hotel.

Didn’t have enough time to honestly reply. I only had one night and stayed in wonderful accommodation and ate in their great restaurant. Hosts were lively, rooms were clean and a sharp comparison to the Buderim Fiesta Motel I stayed in the night before which was a disgrace

The food and drinks that we ordered were served to our satisfaction.
But the room and utilities did not meet my expectations as they look old and rundown. I honestly believed that our booking was totally overpriced.
Thank goodness to the beautiful beaches surrounding Coffs Harbour, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Great family trip. Lots of things to do at sapphire beach. Mini putt putt, basketball court, riding bikes, playing in the park, walking along the beach, games room! Was a fantastic family getaway.. we'll be back next year. Just need to find a good family restaurant.

The accommodation was absolutely filthy.
The accommodation was absolutely filthy. The room was smelly as soon as we opened the door. There was dust on the furniture which had been written on. ie. we were here!! The bed was filthy. There was no carpet on the floor. The balcony had wood rot and could be very dangerous. From car to steps leading to room was very dangerous and had not been cleaned up for use by people staying in the motel. I will never stay in Coffs Harbour again. It was $267 per night as there was a Football Carnival on and we had no idea this would fill all the motels in Coffs Harbour. One hotel was charging $500 per night and it was right on the highway. Never, ever stop at the Big Banana Accommodation. Unfortunately my husband is 81 and we felt we could not drive to the next town. Next time it will be worth sleeping on the side of the road in our car. That's how bad the accommodation was.

Old, expensive, boring.
Would never return unless I had to.
Found a nice restaurant down on Coffs Harbour Jetty for dinner, that seemed classier enough to accomodate our needs.
Our room was spotless. The cleaner’s attention to detail was amazing. The bed was so comfortable. I’m used to expecting hard mattresses when staying at motels, but this mattress was like luxury. Extremely quiet. No road noise and we didn’t hear any other guests either. Modernised, especially the bathroom. Hot water. Microwave. Convenience of late check-in. I will definitely be choosing this motel to stay in again next time I’m at Coffs Harbour.
On opposite corner to hotel !!
1.7 km road straight to Coles
About 2 km to Park Beach - a must for families with younger children.
Easy access to Bunnings and to Airport.
The proactive, can-do, hands-on cheerful manager. I have been to multiple motels/hotels in Australia and overseas. Have even experienced owners very committed to their properties. He was the best I've met, and I'm a hard marker.
We traveled from Melbourne to Brisbane a couple of months ago staying at several locations on the way and return.
This was by far the best Motel we stayed in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and the beds comfy. One of the things that seem to let motels down is the cleanliness of their Air Conditioners. This was not the case for this Place. 5 Stars!
An excellent stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the little villas on the lake were just perfect. There was no parking so the receptionist moved her own car for me. Incredible service! The only thing I regret is not staying longer. A tiny walk to a stunning beach. A lovely little cafe on the grounds. A delightful hotel. I will definitely be back.
The hotel is located in a quieter area of Coffs Harbour, only 3km away from Coffs Harbour railway station and just 800m from Macauleys Headland (Park Beach). Free parking on site is a bonus. We had a small self contained one bedroom apartment and although an older building, it was decorated to feel cosy and welcoming.
These apartments are in the best location in Coffs Harbour! Walk across the road to the beach, a pub, a club and a couple of cafes. Short drive to main shopping centre and The Jetty precinct. Great views. Well appointed apartments, didn't need anything additional.
This is our third stay at this hotel and it's still our preferred option for Coffs Harbour. The rooms are well designed and modern and the bed is super comfortable. It's in a terrific location on the Pacific Highway close to the shops and the restaurants.
Very nice motel in an excellent location. Greeted by helpful doggie receptionist Cooper Jackson and any and all questions answered cheerfully by Lyn and Arthur. Was a very busy weekend in Coffs Harbour but the hotel was quiet and calm.
Friday Creek is located beautifully in the hinterland of Coffs Harbour. It is the most romantic place I have ever stayed with an open fire, beautiful view from the veranda and spa bath. I hope to visit soon again.
Great staff and great hotel overall. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. I would say the only downside was the location. But was within walking distance of many restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.
This is undoubtedly a treasure in the Australian Resort stable. Having once achieved the top tier across the major hotel chains, Opal far exceeds any expectations one will have for a get away.
Staff were extremely friendly and polite. This was the first time I have stayed at a resort alone and I felt very comfortable and safe. The day spa located onsite is exceptional.
The location was great for our specific visit. Staff was nice and responsive and apologetic to issues. Overall the room and resort was nice even with having a few issues.
